Maybe I'm not good enough? Maybe it won't work? Maybe someone else is more qualified? All these doubtfilled questions stop us from moving forward and achieving the dreams we've desired. You are more than good enough..You are qualified. Give yourself a chance to succeed and you might just find your inner fears are the only REAL issues preventing you from progress.

Hailing to the underground R&B music scene by way of Toronto, Canada, The Weeknd has become one of music's most fresh and mysterious faces. After tweets from Canadian rapper drake, filled with lyrics from the Weeknds debut House of Balloons garnered attention and massive downloads, the Weeknd became an instant favorite to hipsters around the world. Stories of love, lust, sex, drugs, and partying paired with his soft and almost angelic voice against soft, smooth, R&B ballads or contrasted against hard metal and almost grunge tracks collectively make up the Weeknd's unique and experimental sound.

While fans dug deeper into his music, information on his personal life, down to his looks left fans clueless for some time. The Weeknd quickly released Thursday in August 2011 and his latest Echoes of Silence in December 2011. According to datpiff.com, a free mixtape download website, each of the Weeknds albums have been downloaded from their site over 100,000 times. In 2012 the Weeknd plans to remaster each of his albums and release them together as a trilogy.

The Weeknd is scheduled to have his first performance in the United States at the 2012 Coachella Festival this April. Fans around the United States will finally be able to get a glimpse of the international man of mystery known as the Weeknd.

Aside from creating a sound of his own, the Weeknd gives fans a glimpse of his enchanting lifestyle through the photography for each single he releases as well as the cinematography found in the videos created that graciously compliment his unique style. The Weeknd has recently gained recognition for creating remixes for artists like Florence and the Machine and Lady Gaga. The Weeknd was also featured on Drake's sophomore release Take Care in 2011.

After releasing three well received albums, all of which were free, in one year displays the Weeknd's desire to keep his mystery alive.

Come One...Come All...

As a recent college grad ((spring 2011)) the last few months have been a CHALLENGE! Applying to job after job, internship after internship, and coming up empty handed I've decided to take my talents to a blog. The bleak economy and high unemployment rates were things I always knew existed before I graduated but for some reason I just knew I'd get a job after I graduated. I got straight A's all the way through high school, got accepted into 3/4 colleges I applied to, maintained 3.0 and above average my entire undergraduate experience so I just knew things would be different for me. Unfortunately my good grades and desire to  succeed have not been enough to get me where I need to be, hence the reason I work in retail and not in my field of choice, journalism. This blog will be a way for me to advance my talents as an aspiring journalist while writing about what I know best, things I love. Posts on music, fashion, natural hair, fitness, anything that captures my attention will fill this blog. So sit back, relax, and prepare for my endless musings.
